Futurity Program

In addition to our Youngst*rs, the RYHA also sponsors another points-based program. The Futurity Program is designed to track the accomplishments of your special youngsters throughout their 3 year RYHA career. It begins with a nomination shortly after birth, and continued until the end of their 3 y/o season. The points they accrue for championship titles are completely separate from the Youngst*rs. At the end of each season, the two 3 y/o's with the highest point totals are entered into the RYHA Hall of Fame and are awarded $10,000 each!

Below, you will find the information & rules regarding the Futurity Program, as described under Rules & Guidelines. This includes the nomination form, which can be sent to Maggie at hayfoot@gmail.com. You will also find a list of all current Futurity Program participants. All questions and comments about the Futurity Program may also be directed to Maggie, using the email address above.

INFORMATION & RULES

1. Horses of all breeds and disciplines are eligible to join the Futurity Program.
2. An owner may only nominate 2 foals per breeding season.
3. Unaged foals must be nominated for the Futurity Program within one month of their birth. Aged foals must be nominated within one month of their introduction to Riata. New owners have one month from the date of their registration to nominate their Futurity Program participants. To nominate your horses, complete to application below and submit it to Maggie at hayfoot@gmail.com.
4. Owners must pay a one-time nomination fee of $1,000 for each horse nominated for the Futurity Program.
5. Point accumulation for the Futurity Program is entirely separate from that of the Youngst*rs. All Futurity Program participants accrue points as long as they are members of the RYHA. Points are awarded for monthly shows as follows: Divisional Champions (50 pts) and Divisional Reserve Champions (25 pts).
6. At the end of their 3 y/o season (after the December monthly show), the Futurity Program participants with the two highest, cumulative point totals are entered into the RYHA Hall of Fame and are awarded $10,000 each.
